GMR gather at Bangalore on 9th June Summary

Hi All,

Bangalore GMRians met at Srini (88B) Anna house and discussed about the progress of the silver jubilee celebrations of our GMR college.

Month/Date for Silver Jubilee Celebrations: DECEMEBER 2013 (exact date will decide later).

Please find the summary of the meet below.

1) We have created blog (http://gmrrjy-alumni.blogspot.com) to share your views - Completed

2) 87 Batch Rajahmundry local Brothers are going to meet principal in this month -- waiting for their update

3) We need to collect more GMR old guys information to collect the fund and run the Alumni successfully. We are planning to put the central excel sheet in common location and will access to main representatives -- Progress

4) Citywise representatives names -- will be declared in this week

5) Alumni registration to open current account in Bank to collect the donations - In progress

6) There are so many Facebook and yahoo groups from our college..we have merge all this to main group to reach the information to everyone -- plan to start this work

We have below ideas for this event and also for future events

1) 3 Hostel blocks are closed due to bad condition - we need to contact the social welfare dept of East Godavari and submit the memorandam to renovate the hostel blocks

2) Library - We have to present/give some books to Library to enhance the knowledge for the college studying guys

3) Computers - We can also plan to donate 5 computers

4) Counselling/Demos for the students to know the current challenges of outside world and trends in latest technologies

5) We can keep 4 Lacks fixed deposit in bank and every year we will get interest amount. By using that interest amount we will give 1st and 2nd prise for every batch in every branch (6 prizes yearly)

6) Once Alumni registration is done..we can continue that to help everyone ...outgoing guys can join Alumni by paying 500 amount...we will use that amount for the activities in the college.

Summary of the gathering in Bangalore on 12th May 2013

Please find the summary of the gather in Bangalore today about Silver Jubilee Celebrations in GMR RJY....

1) We are going to create Web site for our GMR Old Stundents (Alumni)

2) 3 guys (K Srinivasa 88B, Prasanna 87B and B Prasad 88B) are going to meet our college Principal to discuss about the tentative date for Event

3) We (myself and Sivaji Anna) are going to update the central database of our GMR college guys details City wise

4) We are going to Identify 2 guys for every city (Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam and Rajahmundry) to mobilise the GMR Mates to make the event successful..They will conduct meetings monthly once till the event successful

5) Going to form the Association of Alumni within 1 month to open current bank account to transfer funds to single account, Approxiate cost for this event will be 6 to 8 Lakhs

6) Next meeting city wise will be held on 1st week of June

GMR gathering at Bangalore on 12th May

Dear GMRians,

88 Batch Sivaji Anna visited GMR colllege 5 months back and college situation is in very bad position. We have decided l2 years back to celebrate Silver Jubilee Celebrations in our college and the proposed month/date is on July/August 2013. So Anna is conducting small gatherings in Hyderabad for every 15 days. You can contact him to make success this grand event. Tomorrow (12th May 2013) we are gathering at Bangalore (BTM Layout, Udupi Garden) at 4:00PM to discuss about the progress of the event.
